Get ready Florida for electric cars and charging stations. The Car Charging Group, located in Miami Beach, plans to install charging stations all over the state. The first one is planned for Pompano Beach and they will be working their way north from there.

They are trying to prepare for all the new hybrids and electric cars ready to enter the U.S. markets soon.

Charging times are estimated to be about an hour so the stores where these units are placed stand to get customers out of the deal, as well as a percentage of the revenue the machines bring in.

The cost to the car owner should be around three dollars, or monthly subscriptions will be available.

Currently there are 135 similar charging stations across the country. There is even an iPhone app to help you find them.
