Electric cars are all the rage these days, and why not, with outstanding fuel economy and government money, maybe we should all have one. But which one? There are so many to choose from these days. You could even have your present vehicle converted if you choose. There are people that do nothing but conversions, from sports cars to school busses, and everything in between.
If you want to go fast, and electric, and have plenty of money, the Tesla Roadster is for you. It will do sixty in less than four seconds but will cost a hundred grand. There is not much more to say about this car than it is the ultimate electric powered sports car.

On the opposite end of the electric car spectrum are the neighborhood electric vehicles. These small cars are designed to get you around town for as little as a penny a mile. Just like a golf cart, you plug them in at night and they are ready to go in the morning. These cars are all on the small side and do not belong on a freeway, but for around town at low speeds they can not be beat.
The most accepted in the area of electric vehicles are the current hybrids. These cars have gasoline powered engines as well as electric motors. With a hybrid there is never the fear of running out of battery power. These cars also give plenty of power for highway driving and the gas mileage is out of this world.
