Are you ready to Go Green In Florida?  It is time you know, time to go green.  Let's take a look at what Florida is doing green.

Green Florida is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating community gardens and helping neighborhoods prepare for a green economy.  Is your neighborhood involved with Green Florida?  Maybe it should be, check them out.

The Florida Green Building Coalition is the place to go for all things green building in Florida.  From green jobs to certification programs, it's all their.  Their goal is to lead and promote sustainability with environmental, economic and social benefits through certification programs and regional education.

Just one hour from Disney World is the site of Florida's Showcase Green Envirohome.  This site is definitely worth a few minutes of your time, at least.  It is about a home, not just any home, it is a near zero loss home, a near zero energy home, a near zero runoff home and a near zero maintenance home.  This is a fascinating project and will obtain a total of 8 certifications including a Platinum LEED.  I could go on and on, because the topic is so exciting to me, but it's all on their site, pay them a visit.

Are you anywhere near the Keys?  The Florida Keys glee (Green Living And Energy Education) would enjoy more volunteers to help create a sustainable Florida Keys.  They are also looking for Green Business Partners and are in the process of making a Green Business Directory, the ultimate guide to all things green in the Keys.
