Green Club at St. Agnes Academy

ST. Agnes Academy in Houston Texas has a green club. Their green club prepares for the SAA Earth Week festival held each spring. This is their biggest event of the year. The Earth Week events are many, including guest speakers, bake sales, old cloths tie dying, a light bulb exchange and sustainability workshops.

The rest of the year is spent raising the awareness of different environmental issues like global warming, alternative energy and better consumer buying choices.

They also work with other community groups promoting recycling, planting trees and teaching energy conservation.



Thanks Terri for telling us about the Green Club at St. Agnes Academy. It’s great to see young people working hard to promote such worthy goals. Keep up the good work, all of you out there in Houston Texas.
