Green In Canada
How green are you in Canada? Canada is going green, is it time to join
in the fun and get involved. Hopefully we can motivate you in that
direction. If you are already there, maybe you can help us to motivate
others. Further down the page is a place for you to post your local green
events and activities.
Green Communities Canada is a non-profit organization helping to green Canada. Some of the ways they help Canadians are to reduce the energy we use to heat our houses, reduce water consumption, lower the impacts of transportation and to prevent pollution and the contamination associated with it.
Green Communities Canada encourages local community groups to join. By doing so you can learn from others, participate in GCC, speak with a common voice and cite your affiliation with GCC in funding proposals and partner presentations.
The Green Peace Canada Living Guide tips for green living is excellent reading for all of us working to green the planet. They offer real solutions for environmental living at home, at work and in your community. They also show you how to become active politically by posting environmental news of all types. Be sure and sign up for their newsletter, and when time allows, read the newsletter archives.
Good Work Canada is Canada's Green Job Site. Green jobs are the jobs of the future, the jobs that will always be in demand. This is a good site for anyone in Canada looking for a green job or a green career. They even have a whole section for green volunteers. They list all the organizations involved with environmental work in need of help.
Now it's time to get involved, whether you get a green job, or volunteer for a green organization or just change the way you do things and think about things. The important thing is to get started, because once you do, you will naturally gain momentum and speed. As you progress, stop in from time to time, and let us know what you are doing green in Canada.
