It's time to go green in India and everywhere else in the world, but since
you are in India, let's start there.
WWF-India is a site packed full of environmental topics, an excellent way to get up to date on the issues and what's being done. On the get involved page is an excellent quote, "Getting informed is winning half the battle. Spend a little time and empower yourself through knowledge that will enable you to make a difference." On the same page is a link to the Green Living Tips page. This is all good and needs to be read and understood by anyone trying to go green in India.
Go Green India is an outstanding resource for everything sustainable in India. They post the latest in top stories as well as sections like global warming, the good earth, developmental issues and pollution. In the Good Earth section you will learn about eco fashion, combating climate change and several driving and car tip articles. The site is worth spending time on to further educate yourself on the issues of the day and how to make a difference by becoming a part of the solution.
Another resource for green living in India is Green Peace India. Green Peace is a wonderful place to get involved because, as they say, "Greenpeace is full of ordinary people doing extraordinary things." This sounds just like you, able to do extraordinary things.
We need to be a little extraordinary if we are going to green the planet, the way we should. It's definitely going to take all of us. As you progress along the green journey stop back on occasion and let us know what you are doing to green India. You just might encourage a few more people to get out and get busy.
Tell us about your club, activity or event. Where are you, when do you meet, what are you doing green in your community? Do you have a special event coming up? We would like to do our part to help you get the word out.
