Green in Iowa is nothing new, it's been going on for a while now. Are
you involved in it? Are you trying to live a more sustainable life?
Are you trying to lesson your carbon footprint? We hope you are answering
yes, but if not we have a few Iowa green sites for you to check out. If
you are actively green, take a moment and tell us all what you are doing and how
others can help. It's time for us all to be a little greener.
The philosophy of sustainable living needs to be taught in our schools, and in many places, it is. Sites like Live Green get me more than a little excited. Iowa State University cares enough about our environment and teaching sustainability to it's students they have created this wonderful site. You don't have to be a student to get some take home value from this site. Pay a visit, learn and get involved.
The Iowa Green Team is looking for businesses who care about sustainability. Visit the site and see how you can be part of a growing number of merchants and producers who care enough to make a green effort. You may also want to learn more about the Green Start program, where the Green Team works to deliver sustainable teachings to businesses, schools and homeowners. They are going out into the community and getting all of Iowa involved.
What are you doing to keep Iowa a greener place. Hopefully you will take a minute and let us know, so we can spread the word and get your entire state active.
Tell us about your club, activity or event. Where are you, when do you meet, what are you doing green in your community? Do you have a special event coming up? We would like to do our part to help you get the word out.
