A good place to start your green journey is the Minnesota Green Communities web site. Here you will find information about different local projects, green publications you should be getting, news and events as well as green resources. They are dedicated to fostering the creation of affordable, healthier and more energy efficient housing throughout the state of Minnesota.
Another source for information regarding green building, green jobs and sustainable living is the Minnesota Green Star. Their vision is to drive positive impact to your environment by transforming residential building practices. This is another place where you can get involved and start making a difference.
One of the oldest groups to promote sustainable living in Minnesota is The Green Institute. They have been doing this since 1993 and have built a very impressive web site to help spread the word and motivate others. They sponsor a broad range of programs like the ReUse Center, DeConstruction Services and the Community Energy and Consulting Services.
Be sure and visit Living Green for listings of everything green going on in Minnesota. This is the place to go if you are serious about getting involved. Would you like to help out at the Living Green Expo in May, or at the Eco Experience State Fair booth? Sign up for the Green Scene newsletter and start getting out and helping out. The state of Minnesota needs each and every one of you.
If you are already part of the greening of Minnesota please take a moment and make a post about what you, or your group, is doing. The hope is that others will join in and contribute also.
