Have you heard that it is time to go green in Ohio? Yes, it is time, so let's get started. If I'm to late, and you are all ready started, please take a minute and tell us what you do to promote sustainability in Ohio. They seem to have all the green news in Ohio covered as well as articles and information about all the terms and topics involved in going green. This easy to navigate site will inform you about solar, wind, hydro and biomass power and then explain how they relate to green power, economics and the environment. You will also find information about green jobs in Ohio, green programs and green building. This site can be an excellent primer course to help you in the green living direction. Ohio Green Living is a local site managed by five Ohioans. There "goal is to create or encourage events that focus on green living by providing workshops, demonstrations and music to teach sustainable living skill in a fun and entertaining atmosphere". It's grass roots organizations like this that can make a big impact on a state. They are also some of the best places for newcomers to get involved, make friends and help out. I am a huge advocate of teaching sustainability and alternative energy to our kids, starting at a young age. It is very inspiring to see programs like the Ohio Solar Schools. This program teaches the value of solar power by installing solar panels at schools, public zoos and science museums throughout Ohio. They combine these installations with teacher training to turn these solar centers into teaching laboratories. Visit the site and find an installation near you, what an outstanding way to get see alternative energy in use. On the pages of these sites are hundreds of ways to become active in the promoting of sustainable living and alternative energy in the state of Ohio. The greening of Ohio is up to you, it's time to get started. As you move down the road to green stop back and share with others what you are doing and how. It's a great way to get others involved.
