Green In Utah

Are you going green in Utah?  I hope so, everyone else is.  Since it is time to go green maybe we can get you started.  If you are already active use our form to build a page on this site for your club or organization.

Living Green In Utah - What A Bright Idea is a page on the Utah Department of Environmental Quality site.  This is a good place to start your quest for green as they outline a pretty simple plan that anyone could follow. An important statement on this page is worth repeating here "We can teach by example, by living green.  Everyone can do it.  Living green means thinking about what you really need and then using resources wisely.  If we all make an effort, we will have cleaner air, less waste and we will preserve valuable resources for our children."  That is pretty much what it's all about and we can all do our part.

Build Green Utah is a site for home buyers, home builders, green job seekers and those looking for all the green building going on in Utah.  The green buildings going up around the country are fascinating, if you haven't paid any attention recently you may be amazed.

A site you will probably be spending a lot of time on, I know I will, is the  Office of Sustainability at the University of Utah.  They cover many green topics like going green, energy, water, transportation, the sustainability curriculum and so much more.  Discover how the university is dealing with all of these issues and learn how you can do the same.

Going green is about making Green Choices, and the Utah government understands this.  On their informative site you can learn about some of these green choices like improving indoor air quality, energy conservation, water conservation, recycling and reducing chemical use.  This site has tips for the home, tips for the workplace and tips for recreation.  This is an excellent site and a great place to start your green in Utah journey.
