Virginia Commonwealth University is seeing green in its future and wants you to get involved. Visit Help VCU Go Green and see how you can help them, or be helped by them. The sixty steps toward sustainability is valuable reading, these green tips can be used by all of us. Universities and colleges are usually some of the best places to learn about sustainability and energy conservation at local levels. The knowledge learned can then be taken down to the high school and grade school levels. All schools in Virginia should go green, not just the universities.
Green jobs and Green careers will be with us for many years to come and there has never been a better time to be thinking about it. A Virginia Tech group helped to secure nearly four million dollars in federal stimulus money for the purpose of training workers for green jobs in the construction industry. Whether you are volunteering, or looking for a job or a career, there has never been a better time to think green.
