Kennedy Green Club

The Kennedy Green Club at Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids Iowa is sponsoring a recycling drive during the month of February. We are collecting cell phones, electronic book readers, digital cameras and video cameras, computers, MP3 players, ink cartridges and other electronic stuff. Last year this group collected over 500 items. This means 500 items were recycled, or disposed of properly, and kept out of the landfill. Since this is a contest between first hour classes the best thing to do is contact any Kennedy High student and ask them to come pick up your item. You could also contact the school or just drop the items off. They would like to blow the roof off of last years totals so see what you can do to help them out.

Hi Jill. Thanks so much for the info and I hope the school collects tons of items so they can be properly recycled. The school address is 4545 Wenig Rd NE in Cedar Rapids. The phone in 319.558.2251. If you need more info on what is being accepted give them a call. If you need stuff picked up, call also. You may also have other items in your home or garage that should be properly recycled you should talk to any green club member, they should be able to answer all your questions. Thanks for your help.
