Montana Goes Green

time to go green clock The state of Montana goes green, are you a part of the excitement?  If not, read on, maybe we can get you in the game.  If you are already there, take a minute and tell us what you are doing and invite others to join you.

Montana Green Power is a site dealing with all types of alternative energy news.  They cover energy topics like wind, solar and bio-fuels.  You will also find many different pages dealing with energy efficiency, all the good stuff you need to know to go green, save energy and save money.  The latest news about rebate programs and tax credits are here also.

As you get a little deeper into the green way of living you start becoming more aware of where you shop and what you buy.  You will first learn things like bring your own bags to save on plastic, buy products with less packaging, especially less plastic packaging and buy products that are produced as close to home as possible.  The more you learn the more you feel you need to know about the stores you partner with.  The  Green Directory Montana is here for you, to answer all those questions, and many more.  If you are a green business owner make sure you get in and sign up.

New construction in the years to come needs to be done in sustainable and eco-friendly ways.  Every state has programs that promote green buildings and promote the training for green jobs.  Visit the  Montana Green Building Program is a place for all Montana builders, contractors, designers and business owners. The  Montana Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council is another valuable green building resource.

Another site of interest is  The Montana Climate Action Project.  This goes into depth on green collar jobs as well as a section for kids and information about what the government is doing in Montana.

If you really want to learn about green Montana stuff, and volunteer your time, get in on the behind the scenes work at a  Green Expo.  The Montana Nursery and Landscape Association has all the expo information as well as a lot of other information.

Hopefully by now you have a better understanding when they say Montana goes green.  We also hope you take the time to tell us all about the green activities in Montana.
