Seniors Go Green
Do seniors go green? Seniors everywhere are becoming active in the green movement. They may not always call it, or think of it, as green but they are doing it. We have a large winter visitor population during the winter months made up primarily of seniors. They flock towards the southern states to winter and enjoy the plentiful sunshine. Do they sit around pool side all day? Not at all, they are always busy.
The seniors in my area stay busy giving back to the community in many different ways. They may spend months gathering clothing donations to be given to their favorite charity. I know of one group who spent the winter gathering donations and then personally drove to a small town in Mexico and delivered the goods. They did this every year, and their friends made a point to bring useful items with them when they came to winter. Stuff like this goes on all the time when these retired folks get together. They have the time and the willingness to make good things happen and benefit the community and the earth.

Take one our eco-friendly seniors green bags with you whenever you go shopping. Set a good example for all the youngsters by bringing your bag keeping the plastic ones in the store. This is one way we can all go green together.

Set out a few coasters next time you have friends over. They are a perfect way of bringing up the subject of environmental issues.
