The stimulus package and President Obama promises a 'new era' of energy and environmental policy built on energy efficiency.
One way of encouraging us to get with the new program is by offering stimulus rebates and benefits to Americans for alternative energy and energy efficiency programs.
We just need to know how to find and take advantage of the savings that are now available out there for us.
Never has there been a better time to join the alliance to save on money, energy and the ultimately help save the earth. To be part of all this we really must focus on energy conservation, energy efficiency and clean renewable power sources and the new roll this must play in a clean energy future for the U.S.
For years, the government has helped weatherize homes and now more money is available then ever before with the 2009 stimulus bill to help people get the work done, receive tax rebates on alternative energy and more.
Like many homeowners, you may be paying more than you need to each month
in gas and electric bills, because your house is not properly
weatherized.
The Stimulus program helps homeowners and low income renters with rebates and tax credits.
The money can be used for replacing a furnace, adding attic and wall insulation, and installing energy efficient lights and appliances.
The Weatherization Assistance Program of the Stimulus package allows up to $6,500 per home in energy efficient upgrades for families making up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level or about $44,000 a year for a family of four.
That is one part of the program for weatherization. There is a step by step plan in our of how to do this, and how to receive the rebates in our upcoming newsletter.
