The Green Club

My daughter has been involved with The Green Club at Greensburg High School. This has been an excellent experience for her and they have done so much for the town.

Recently they have been educating parents like me, and everyone else in town, about the eco-friendly choices they have at the grocery stores. Like paper or plastic, or hey, better yet, try one of our reusable bags. This kind of getting out into the community stuff really works and more and more you see shoppers going into stores with reusable bags.

When I slip up and accidentally bring a plastic bag into the house, watch out, I get the hairy eyeball and sometimes a good scolding. But I love it, the whole experience has taught her so much, more than she would have gotten out of any book.
